Jason McKinnie is a registered patent attorney focusing his practice on intellectual property matters including prosecution and litigation. Additionally, Mr. McKinnie's practice includes general business litigation in both state and federal, including subject matters such as environmental law.
Mr. McKinnie graduated from St. Mary's University School of Law in May 2009 where he served as a staff writer and an Associate Editor on the St. Mary's Law Journal. Mr. McKinnie received his Bachelor's of Science in Genetics from Texas A&M University in 2001, where he went on to receive a Master's of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management from the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. McKinnie worked for three years in a biochemistry laboratory conducting cutting edge research on chromatin remodeling.
Prior to entering law school in 2007, Mr. McKinnie served as an industry analyst for a consulting company covering the biotechnology and pharmaceutical markets with a specific focus on the oncology and drug delivery markets. Mr. McKinnie also served as a Contributing Editor for Drug Delivery Technology where he wrote multiple articles regarding various drug technologies including nanobiotechnology.
In his free time, Mr. McKinnie enjoys spending time with his wife Kendra and their dog. Together, they enjoy going to the Texas Hill Country and spending time with friends and family.
